Watch history come alive in a dazzling display of lights and music as the magnificent 1881 Guernsey County Courthouse transforms into a spectacular holiday wonderland!
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Cambridge, this beloved holiday tradition features more than 85,000 colorful lights, towering 20-foot Christmas trees and approximately 60 animated displays, all synchronized to a festive soundtrack of traditional Christmas classics, contemporary holiday favorites and cheerful children’s tunes.
As the music fills the air, the historic courthouse sparkles, shimmers and dances with light creating a magical experience for visitors of all ages. Whether it’s your first visit or a cherished family tradition, the Courthouse Holiday Light Show is sure to fill your heart with the spirit of the season!
The magic begins November 1 and continues nightly through January 1.
Shows start at 5:30 PM and continue until 9:00 PM, with extended hours until 10:00 PM on weekends and holidays.

2026 Halloween Show!
The Guernsey County courthouse will be home to ghosts, goblins, witches and other scary creatures for special Halloween light shows this October on selected evenings. Colorful lights synchronized to Halloween favorites that is fun for kids of all ages!
Shows run nightly through Halloween October 31st. 7pm to 9PM

2026 20th Anniversary Christmas Show!
The Guernsey County courthouse comes alive nightly with tens of thousands of colorful lights computer synchronized to both traditional and contemporary holiday music beginning November 1st through January 1st of the new year. This magnificent historical 1881 building jumps into the 21st Century as it is bathed in more than 85,000 lights, an amazing twenty three foot Christmas tree and 60 animated displays. Each hour features a wide variety of music including children’s, contemporary and traditional Christmas favorites.
