Day One
Your group will be met by a local guide who will take them on a driving tour of Cambridge with history and highlights of the area. Enjoy lunch at Guernsey Kitchen, a hip spot for locals and tourists alike. Your table side Chef Bob McKenna will describe one of the dishes pre-pared especially for your group. Specialty soda pop, a glass of wine or beer can be served with the lunch.
Nothing But Chocolate will allow each guest the opportunity to create one seasonal chocolate treat to take home or to eat on the spot. Your group will also enjoy visiting the eclectic shops in historic downtown Cambridge, Ohio
The next stop is The Pantry Door and Deli offering health foods, dried fruits, nuts, cheeses, deli meats, candy and more. The Pantry Door & Deli also serves delicious made-to-order sandwiches. Plenty of samples will be offered to your group, and each will walk out with a special goody bag!
Head to Salt Fork State Park, the largest in Ohio and check into Salt Fork Lodge & Conference Center. Your group can relax or explore before dinner. Meet at Timbers Restaurant for an exclusive evening that features Chef Jason who will talk to your group about the preparation and execution of one of the dishes served that evening. After dinner, your group can enjoy the peaceful scenery that the state park provides and relax to the sounds of a local musician, learn about our rich glass history or when coal was king in Guernsey County.
Day Two
After a hearty breakfast, your group will depart for the day, and depending on season, can enjoy a local farmers market or nursery.
Lunch is a treat at the Bear’s Den where locally raised beef is the star of the menu in this rustic atmosphere. The chef will welcome your group and give a history of Bear’s Den tableside.
Spend the a1ernoon at the Wilds the largest and most innovative wildlife conservation centers in the world. Located on nearly 10,000 acres near Cambridge, it is home to rare and endangered species from around the world. Your group can board a guided Safari Transport or open air Safari to see and learn about the animals living in open-range habitats.
End the evening at Terra Cotta vineyards for their beautiful vista view, a wine tasting of their award winning wines, and a delicious meal prepared especially for your group.
