Each summer the oldest continuously playing community band in the state of Ohio, originating in 1841, thrills its audiences with a free evening of music in the Cambridge City Park. Most concerts are every other Thursday at 7:30 p.m. or on holidays. Each year the band has a theme. A narrator shares information regarding each piece performed and there are vocalists and various entertainment surprises that include audience participation. The band marches in patriotic parades and performs an annual Holiday Concert before or after the Christmas Parade. The band consists of musicians of all ages.
