In honor of its 50th Anniversary, the National Road & Zane Grey Museum will host a “Pottery Celebration” on Saturday, July 15 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. There will be pottery demonstrations, crafts for children and pottery identification where you can learn more about your special pieces. Larissa Harper, author of “The History of Mosaic Tile” will be on hand with copies of her book to sell and sign. Musical entertainment will be provided by Ethan Timm and there will be a food truck, Mandi’s Fixins. Come and celebrate our local pottery and learn why our area was once known as “The Pottery Capital of the World.” The museum is located at 8850 East Pike, Norwich. Regular hours are Wednesday – Saturday (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and Sundays (1 – 4 p.m.) through October. Museum tours will be free all day on “Pottery Celebration” day but donations to support the museum’s educational programming are always appreciated.
