This is a youth program designed for children age 5 to 15. This youth and family overnight event gives youth hands-on participation in a variety of activities including: archery, fishing, camping, canoeing, riflery, and many other activities. This is a great opportunity to expose youth and families to the joys of outdoor recreation.
Event Information
Kicking Bear is a nationwide youth outreach ministry founded by Ray Howell. Kicking Bear uses summer campouts, adventure days and youth hunts to reach underprivileged and at-risk youth to let them know that God has a purpose for them.
Here at Deerassic Park, we work closely with Ray Howell to create a summer campout experience unlike any other. Friday afternoon and evening, we setup numerous of our Deerassic activities (fishing, inflatables, canoeing/kayaking etc.) and host an evening campout. On Saturday morning we serve breakfast and allow Ray to conduct his ministry and archery shoot. An itinerary is listed to the right.
