As America marks its 250th birthday, Cambridge is joining more than 150 communities across Ohio for a special summer homecoming celebration filled with patriotic pride, family fun, and hometown spirit.
Join us for The America 250 Homecoming Picnic on Friday, July 24, from 6–8 p.m. at the Guernsey County District Public Library Crossroads Branch, located at 63500 Byesville Road, Cambridge.
This festive community gathering will kick off with a welcome address from Mayor Tom Orr, setting the stage for an evening dedicated to celebrating America’s past, present, and future. Attendees will also enjoy a special musical performance by the Guernsey County Commissioners, adding a uniquely local touch to this once-in-a-generation celebration.
The America 250 Homecoming Picnic will feature something for everyone. Enjoy live music, explore crafts, and sample delicious offerings from a variety of food trucks. Families can spend the evening enjoying face painting, games, hands-on crafts and interactive activities designed for all ages. Americana-themed contests and patriotic festivities will create a fun and welcoming atmosphere as the community comes together to commemorate 250 years of American history.
The America 250 Homecoming Picnic is part of the statewide America 250-Ohio Homecoming & Picnic Initiative, which is bringing communities together across Ohio through heritage celebrations, historical programs, tours and special events throughout the summer and fall.
