Well known among glass collectors, Cambridge is the home of Mosser Glass,  which is available for touring, as well as the National Museum of Cambridge Glass. The Guernsey County History Museum provides even more background about the area’s rich past.

Cambridge is also home to great scenic roads, and riders have an opportunity to take in the landscapes of the area on one of Guernsey County’s motorcycle trails.

Summertime is filled with various events throughout the city worthy of experiencing. Be sure to check out the Cambridge City Band, established in 1841, for a summer concert series which runs through Labor Day. Then every Friday through the end of September, stop by the Route 40 Farmer’s Market  to pick through the best local plants, produce, and other homemade goods.

Cambridge also is gearing up for its 54th Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival, which lays claim to being Ohio’s oldest arts & crafts festival and is held Aug. 9-11.

One of the cities’ largest events is the 22nd Deerassic Classic Giveaway and Outdoor Expo, which is slated for Aug. 2-3 and lauds itself as an “outdoorsman’s paradise” because of the products and apparel on display for lovers of fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. For those who appreciate classic cars, hot rods, trucks and motorcycles, the Cambridge Cruise-In Car Show scheduled for Aug. 17 draws in thousands of enthusiasts every year.

From Sept. 9-15 in nearby Old Washington, eat a corndog and check out the local livestock at the 177th Guernsey County Fair.

With so many fun events throughout the summer months and museums to explore, Cambridge is a charming town worthy of a seasonal adventure.
