The 49th Annual Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival is a celebration of the arts! On August 10, 11, 12, 2018 the Cambridge City Park will be transformed with creative energy as 90-100 juried artists and craftsmen come from all over the United States to participate. Visual and Performing Artists feature sculpture, wood, metal, pottery, jewelry, fabric art, glass, photography, painting, as well as crafts, yard arts, recycled and repurposed creations, and more. Outstanding blue grass bands, jazz bands, Appalachian ensembles, choirs, quartets, and marching bands, as well as dancers, storytellers, and actors present their special programs to the public free of charge! Demonstrations, craft classes, delicious foods, and children’s activities round out the offerings of this three-day family friendly premier event.
Thousands of people come to Cambridge each summer to enjoy the Salt Fork Festival. Families and Friends plan their reunions and group gatherings to include this delightful experience. Prizes and scholarships are awarded to artists and student artists, and there are giveaways, fun contests, “People’s Choice awards”, a raffle and chances to win beautiful art. Golf carts help transport our guests and community volunteers provide assistance in the park.
The Festival is free and open to the public. From demonstrations, concessions and artists there’s something for everyone.
