About America 250 Ohio
The U.S. will be celebrating its semiquincentennial (250 years) in 2026, and Ohio is ready to join the celebration “Ohio Style.” This is a unique opportunity to showcase Ohio’s and Guernsey County’s contributions to the nation over the past 250+ years.

America 250 Ohio is a multi-year commemoration highlighting Ohioans from all 88 counties, emphasizing Ohio’s significant role in our nation’s history. From statesmen to artists, from actors to Nobel laureates, Ohio’s rich history and diverse contributions will be in the spotlight. We’ll tell the story of Ohio, from the Native Americans who were here before European settlers to the people who call Ohio home today.
