Welcome to a real family event. Dickinson Cattle Co. is a working Texas Longhorn cattle ranch located in the beautiful Appalachian Foothills. This large family owned ranch now open up pastures previously held private from public view for personally narrated tours. See up to 1,000 Texas Longhorns, hand-feed clear water fish, see modern conservation ecology, see the birth place of Hopalong Cassidy, and maybe even purchase registered championship cattle! Famous people such as Oliver North, Andre the Giant, and George Lucas have purchased cattle from the Dickinson Cattle Company. Open June 1 through September 4. Hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Group tours are welcome with advance notice.

Nestled in the rolling hills and dales of northern Guernsey County, Ohio, within minutes from Salt Fork State Park, lies a unique 160-acre farm. This family owned and operated farm harbors over 140 years of family history and tradition. Today, Hill 'N' Dale Elk Farm operates a large herd of registered Rocky Mountain and Manitoban Elk. Deerassic Park Education Center offers unique opportunities for families to learn about the whitetail deer and their environment in a natural setting.  Special events are scheduled throughout the year.  Please call for specific dates and times that the park is open to the public.

The Wilds, located near Cumberland, Ohio, is one of the largest and most innovative conservation centers in the world. Spanning 14 square miles of reclaimed surface mined land, the Wilds seeks to advance conservation through science, education, and personal experience. Visitors choose from comfortable air-conditioned transports or custom open-air transports for a guided tour where they see Asian, African, and North American wildlife roaming freely in large, natural habitats. Rhinos, giraffes, and zebras graze peacefully near the antelope, bison, and other species. Visitors learn about the animals and the issues affecting their survival. Extended tours are also available, offering visits to some of the Wilds' specialized animal management facilities. 

During Safari Transport tours, guests can pick their own P.A.C.E. – Personal Adventure in Conservation Education – and depart the transports at four unique destinations: Lake Trail, the Wetlands, Outpost, and the new Mid-Sized Carnivore Conservation Center featuring cheetahs, African wild dogs, and dholes. Also explore a walking trail through the Butterfly Habitat, take in the view at the Birding Outpost at Jeffery Point, dine at the Overlook Cafe and visit the Gift Market. Sunset Safaris are offered Saturdays from June through September, featuring dinner and twilight tours including behind-the-scenes visits at animal management facilities (where guests might even touch a rhino!)

Open May, Sept & Oct.: Sat. & Sun. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
June, July & August: Open 7 days a week 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Group tours (min. 20 people) are available seven days a week May through October.
